Modern urban leaders simply cannot afford to limit themselves to a narrow field of expertise. Mayors must be nimble, adaptive, and willing to learn. The IOC serves as a catalyst for research that contributes to the vitality of cities and empowers urban leaders to thrive. We encourage BU faculty from all schools and disciplines to contribute to this effort.
