Sea Level Rise

The Initiative on Cities and the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future are thrilled to co-host Sea Level Rise and the Future of Coastal Cities, the IOC’s second City Leadership Summit, on Thursday November 13 and Friday November 14. This Summit will address critical questions for leaders in cities by the sea, where climate change looms as a present and future threat.

Mayors, academics, scientists, city and federal officials, developers and designers will analyze how cities are adopting strategies to address sea level rise and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Together, they will examine the pioneering actions that can protect the future livability and sustainability of coastal cities.

Sea Level Rise will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00pm-6:30pm and all day on Friday from 9:00am-4:30pm at Boston University in the Metcalf Trustee Center Ballroom, Ninth Floor, One Silber Way, Boston,
