    Cannabis is one of the fastest growing industries around the world – on Tuesday, November 7th, hear five finalist student and alumni startup teams present their ancillary business ideas and compete for a $10,000 grand prize!   • 5:00 PM Hack That Pitch! Workshop

    Registered for the Hult Prize or another competition? Time to get that story right! You are so excited about your idea, but how to do you get others just as excited so they want to join your team, buy your product, or win that competition? Understand what panelists look for in a winning team and learn how to effectively communicate your idea and passion to customers and investors. Open to: All BU students and alumni; especially great for student participating in the HultPrize@BU!

  • 10:00 AM How to Launch a Creative Business with Tarish "Jeghetto" Pipkins

    Have a creative idea for a business or startup, but haven't figured out how to bring it to life? Then this workshop is for you! Get advice from Tarish "Jeghetto” Pipkins, a world-renowned puppeteer, performer and educator as he shares how he turned his passion into a thriving business. Attendees can also register for a limited number of 20min office hours with Tarish to ask individual questions.

  • 9:30 AM Fintech Workshop: Reducing the Cost of Remittance for Migrant Workers

    Money sent home by migrant workers is one of the largest financial inflows to developing countries. The problem? Transfer costs are high and there is little investment in better Fintech solutions. Join Master Lecturer Mark Williams and international scholars from the Humphrey Fellow Cohort to discuss current challenges facing international remittances and help brainstorm new Fintech solutions! Open to students and the BU community.
