SafeConnect Statement of Intent

The University will not apply any technical enforcement policies without having the policies proposed, reviewed, approved and implemented through standard University processes.  All information related to current and proposed policy modifications will be posted on the website.

Policy Proposal

  • Policy proposals will be introduced at the Information Security & Business Continuity governance committee for discussion.  This committee includes members from teaching faculty, research faculty, medical faculty, administrative staff, technical staff, and students.

Policy Review

  • Policy proposals will be posted on the website for 14 days to allow university review and comment.
  • Policy proposals will be reviewed by the Information Security & Business Continuity governance  committee and a decision regarding implementation will be made.

Policy Implementation

  • Policies will be implemented and communicated in accordance to the IS&T change processes.
