DIRECTIONS
TO
THE INTERGENERATIONAL LITERACY PROJECT

FREE VAN TRANSPORTATION:
- The white BU van will leave from the front of Metcalf Science
Center, 590 Commonwealth Ave. at 7:50 a.m. SHARP!! If you miss
the van follow the directions below
BY CAR from Storrow Drive:
- Take Storrow Drive eastbound to its end at Leverett Circle
- Follow the signs for I-93 North
- Take the first exit on the left for Route 1 North
- Get off at the first exit
- At the end of the exit ramp, go straight until you reach Everett
Street (intersection has a flashing light and stop sign)
- Turn right on Everett Street. Continue for two blocks until
you reach Park Street
- Turn a wide left onto Park Street. You will pass Riley's Roast
Beef and Katz Bagels on your right
- At the next intersection (one block), you will reach Hawthorne
Street. The school will be on your right (a big building)
- Go past the school and turn right at the first street to look
for parking. Good luck, especially if it's Tuesday
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
- Take the "T" Green Line Inbound to Haymarket ($1.25)
- After you descend from the "T", follow the signs to "Street
Level/Buses"
- At top of stairs outside, find Bus #111 Woodlawn/Tobin/Chelsea
($0.90)
- Once the bus enters Chelsea (after the bridge), get off at the
4th stop
- The Early Learning Center (school with black fences) will be
directly in front of you
