The Syrian Refugee Crisis and the Contiguous States–the workshop report is now available

The January 31, 2014 workshop focused on the impact of the Syrian Refugee Crisis on the Contiguous States.  In addition, there were presentations on international law, sexual violence and the implications for Palestinian refugees. Iraq + 10 Film Series: Son of Babylon

6:30 pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 CAS B36, 725 Commonwealth Ave. The Iraq+10 project presents a series of Middle Eastern and Western films recognizing the decennial anniversary of the US-led invasion of Iraq. In Son of Babylon a willful young boy follows his just as obstinate grandmother in a journey across Iraq, determined to discover the fate of her missing son, Ahmed's father, who never returned from war. Iraq +10 Film Series: The List

6:00 pm on Thursday, March 28, 2013 IR Eilts Room, 154 Bay State Road, Rm 203 The Iraq+10 project presents a series of Middle Eastern and Western films recognizing the decennial anniversary of the US-led invasion of Iraq. The List tells the story of Kirk Johnson, a modern-day Oskar Schindler who is fighting to save Iraqis whose lives are in danger because they worked for the U.S. government and military to help rebuild Iraq. Iraq +10 Film Series: The Dreams of Sparrows

The Dreams of Sparrows is a documentary film shot in post-war Iraq which presents conflicting points of view among Iraqis regarding the war, Saddam Hussein and the occupation.
