Past Events

The International History Institute (IHI) was chartered by Boston University on July 1, 1999. Its first set of activities actually preceded its formal Charter, in the form of the “International History Study Group,” a faculty group whose members subsequently became IHI Fellows.

Once the IHI was chartered, the “International History Study Group” reconvened under the rubric of IHI Faculty Research Seminar. Since its founding, the IHI has expanded outreach to graduate and undergraduate students, through its conferences, film series, and roundtables.
