Research |
 |
|
IGSW supports and conducts research to demonstrate
the effectiveness of social work interventions designed
to improve the quality of lives of older people.
Research Conferences and Findings
- IGSW will hold its first invited State-of-the-
Science Conference on October 23rd and October
24th at Boston University. The primary objective of
this planned series of meetings is to help develop and
advance a research agenda for social work practice
with frail, chronically ill older adults and their families.
This first meeting will bring together a small group of
important leaders and experts in the field to lay the
groundwork for our first study -- a clinical trial to
assess the effectiveness of a social work intervention
in primary care.
