Viewing the Course Catalogue

You can access IGSW’s course catalogue in two different ways:

In the course catalog, you will see a list of folders that represent our range of topic areas. Click on the yellow folder to see all of the courses in that topic area.

Viewing the Course Description

You can access the IGSW course catalogue by going to http://www.igsw.org and clicking on “View the IGSW Course Catalog.”

Viewing an Individual Course

Once you click on the box next to the course group name, you will see a listing of the courses available in that topic area. Click on “Course Description” to read a description of the course, and view information about continuing education credit and payment.

The Main Course Navigation Screen

Course Catalog/Topics: This is a list of all the courses available to you.

Course Catalog/Certificate Programs: This is the list of the certificate programs that IGSW offers. Some programs are customized for a particular agency and require a discount code to purchase.

My Learning/Learning Alerts: This page shows the courses in which you have enrolled.

My Learning/Learning Transcript: This page shows the status of the courses in which you are enrolled.

My Learning/Course Forums: This feature is a discussion area that allows you to post messages, ask questions, and discuss case studies with fellow users.

•  To begin, click the icon of the two heads next to the name of the course.

•  Click on the folder next to the page header entitled “Welcome to the forum.”

•  Click on the folder of the topic in which you are interested.

•  If you want to start a new discussion, click the “Post Reply” link in the topic folder in which you are interested.

My Learning/User Profile: This is basic user information visible only to you as the user and IGSW Administrators.

My Learning/User Profile/Course Keyword Watch: You can ask this system to look for any new courses that contain key words in which you are interested. For example, if you are interested in End of Life Care, then add this to your list. When a course is added with those words in the title, then a message will be sent to you via the Learning Alerts function (described above).

To enter a new key word, click on the icon of the piece of paper, a pop-up will appear, enter the key word in the memo field and click the “Save” button.
