Ajay Joshi

Ajay Joshi received PhD from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2006. He was a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2009. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Boston University (BU). He received the NSF CAREER award in 2012 and the BU ECE’s award for Teaching Excellence in 2014. His current research interests include various aspects of VLSI design, including circuits and architectures for communication and computation, and emerging device technologies, including silicon photonics and memristors.

PhD Students

Zafar Takhirov Zafar Takhirov completed his undergraduate studies in linguistics at Russian-Tajik Slavonic University in Dushanbe, Tajikistan in 2008, and got his M.S. degree in computer engineering from the Boston University in 2012. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Boston University, Boston, MA. His current research interests include low-power and energy-efficient digital design, error mitigation, as well machine learning algorithms and their implementation for mobile and embedded systems.

Boyou Zhou

Boyou Zhou received the B.S. degree in Communication Engineering from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2013. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Boston University, MA, USA. He worked as internship in Analog Devices Inc. and Qualcomm Inc. His current research interests include Hardware Trojan Detection using Backside Imaging and Malware Detection using Hardware Monitoring.

Yenai Ma

Yenai Ma received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from University of Alberta, Canada, in 2014. She is currently pursuing Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Boston University, Boston, MA, USA. Her current research interests include silicon photonic networks, 2.5D integration techniques, and thermal management of many core systems.

Leila Delshadtehrani received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2011 and 2013, respectively. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Boston University, Boston, MA, USA. Her current research interests include computer architecture, machine learning, design of hardware accelerators for neural networks, and design of secure hardware architectures.

Md Saiful Arefin Mojumder received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2013, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the same university in 2015. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Boston University, Boston, MA, USA. His current research interests include high performance computing systems, design and simulation of general purpose graphics processing units (GPGPUs) and, On chip network design and power estimation for high performance computing systems.
