Conference Events and Resources
Sunday
(Afternoon?) - Red Sox vs. Houston - Boston University is next
to Fenway Park. On Sunday, the Red Sox play Houston (although the schedule
is not yet in place, we hope for an afternoon game). If there is sufficient
interest, we will pursue a block buy of seats for the game. (please indicate
interest level on the Registration form).

Evening - Opening Reception - 18th floor Lounge, Student
Village, Boston University Campus

6-9pm - Come join us for the opening reception
of the conference from the top of the Boston University campus.
This large room features windows on all sides with the best views
of Boston, the Charles River, and the Brookline hills. Light food
and drinks sponsored by the Institute for Astrophysical Research
at Boston University. |
Monday
and Tuesday - Continental Breakfasts and Buffet Lunches - Ziskind
Lounge, George Sherman Union, Boston University Campus
Continental breakfasts (rolls, muffins, bagels, fruit, juices, coffee,
and tea) will be served from 7:30-8:30am each day just outside the Conference
Auditorium and near the Poster Session room.
Buffet Lunches, spanning 90 minutes, will be served between the mid-day
sessions, in the same location.
Conference registration covers the costs of these meals. Participants
may elect instead to purchase food items in the Food Court located on
the first floor of the George Sherman Union (one floor below the Conference
Auditorium), along Commonwealth
Avenue, or in the greater Boston area.
Monday
Late Afternoon
- Poster Viewing Session with Cash Bar - Ziskind Lounge, George Sherman
Union, Boston University Campus
After the final talk on Monday, we will retire to the Ziskind Lounge
to pay special attention to the posters presented at the conference.
A cash bar will aid our attention spans. (The bar closes in time to
permit participants to return to their lodgings before joining us for
the...)

Conference Banquet - 7-10pm, The
Castle, Boston University Campus

The Castle was once the residence of the President
of Boston University, and it retains the elegance and charm of an
earlier era. Come stroll through the rooms, view the artwork, and
imagine how wonderful life must be as a college president! The bar
opens at 7, dinner will be seved at 7:45. Sponsored
by the Dean of Arts and Sciences, Boston University, and the Institute
for Astrophysical Research. |

Evening
- Boston is Yours!
OK, technically the conference presentations are over and the posters
have come down. Nevertheless, we hope you will stay, join up with old
colleagues or new friends and sample the restaurants and entertainments
in Boston. See Kim's
list if you need ideas about where to dine close to Boston
University.
