Human Resources Policy Institute

The Human Resources Policy Institute (HRPI) was founded in 1981 as a partnership between Boston University’s School of Management faculty and top-level human resources executives.  HRPI holds semi-annual meetings during which members participate in sessions on leading-edge human resources topics as well as member roundtable discussions.  The Institute also sponsors faculty and doctoral level research, develops case studies, conducts executive development programs, and acts as an information resource for members through surveys and our newsletter.

Founding Vision

  • “Provide a focus which integrates multiple disciplines around human resource policy
  • Contribute to the development of links between the business community and the School of Management with respect to the management of human resources
  • Provide an opportunity for faculty and corporate members to become involved in joint activities around common interests
  • Provide a vehicle to integrate the research, teaching, and consulting competencies of faculty with the applied research and management experience of the practitioner.”
