Projects in the Auditory Neurophysiology Laboratory focus in four main areas:
- Experimental and theoretical studies of the neuronal circuitry in the cochlear nucleus
- Single- and multi-unit recording and analysis techniques used to study the responses of neurons and neural nets to acoustic stimulation
- Intracellular recording and marking techniques that associate specific neurons to their physiology
- Computational neural models that test hypotheses of cochlear nucleus function
