Projects in the Auditory Neurophysiology Laboratory focus in four main areas:

  • Experimental and theoretical studies of the neuronal circuitry in the cochlear nucleus
  • Single- and multi-unit recording and analysis techniques used to study the responses of neurons and neural nets to acoustic stimulation
  • Intracellular recording and marking techniques that associate specific neurons to their physiology
  • Computational neural models that test hypotheses of cochlear nucleus function
