Education:

BA, Speech and Hearing, University of Oklahoma
MS, Audiology, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center
Ph.D., Hearing Science, Purdue University
Postdoctoral Fellowship, Psychoacoustics, Harvard University

Research Interests:

Dr. Kidd specializes in studying auditory perception of complex, nonspeech sounds; the effects of sensorineural hearing loss on the discrimination of complex sound; and the consequences of hearing loss on auditory processing. He is currently researching the factors governing the perception of elements of auditory patterns, the formation and segregation of auditory images, and sound source identification and spatial location.
