Facilities Management & Planning (FMP) Process
At Boston University, we take pride in providing our students, faculty, and staff with outstanding facilities that foster the high standard of learning and research excellence for which we are known. To maintain that standard, we rely on a dedicated and enthusiastic team of Facilities Management & Planning (FMP) staff. To apply for a custodial or trades position within FMP, in general you must submit a paper copy of the application, which you can obtain at:
- Human Resources at 25 Buick Street in Boston, or
- The Forms & Documents library on this website, where you can find and download a copy
(Note that for certain trades positions you may apply online by completing the New Resumé/CV or Existing Resumé/CV. When that is the case, buttons for these options will appear as part of the listing for the position.)
After you complete the application, return it to Human Resources. A staff member will contact you if there is interest in your application.
Please note that as part of the FMP application process, and before BU can make you a job offer for custodial or trades jobs, you must have a successful Massachusetts background check and pass a complete medical examination. BU will administer the examination and cover the full cost.
