Orientation—Charles River Campus

As a new employee, you will have questions regarding your new benefits, facilities, and resources. If you’re a new regular full-time employee or regular part-time employee working at least 75 percent time, you will be scheduled for the BU Employee Experience orientation. Our new employee orientation covers the resources available to you, benefits, and campus safety, as well as Boston University’s rich history and heritage.

When you accepted your offer of employment, your Human Resources representative told you the specific date and time of your orientation session—in most cases the Tuesday following your first day of work. The exact date of your orientation is also included in your confirmation letter.

If you are not able to attend your orientation as scheduled, please contact Human Resources as soon as possible at 617-353-4044 to reschedule.

The orientation sessions are held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesdays at the BU Experience, which is located at 602 Commonwealth Avenue. Please arrive at your orientation at 12:45 p.m.

At orientation, you will receive an information packet and a CD of the presentation. These materials provide you with the information you need to get started. We encourage you to review them carefully.
