Boston University is in an easily accessible area of Boston that can be reached by both public and private transportation. Whether you are coming from downtown, the suburbs, or even another state, you’ll find our location central and convenient.

Charles River Campus

Driving

On-campus parking is available. To park on-campus, you can either purchase a parking sticker or pay per entry. You may purchase a parking pass at BUWorks Central through the Employee Self Service (ESS) tab. Public Transportation

Both the MBTA’s Green line “B” train and the #57 bus run along Commonwealth Avenue, right through our Charles River Campus.

Medical Campus

Driving

On-campus parking is available. To park on-campus, you can either purchase a parking sticker or pay per entry. You may purchase a parking pass by contacting the Medical Campus Parking & Transportation Services. Public Transportation

Boston University Medical Campus is easily accessible by public transportation. For the most up-to-date information, please see the BUMC campus map.

The Boston University Shuttle (BUS)

Traveling between Boston University’s Charles River Campus (located near Kenmore Square) and Medical Campus (located in the South End) is now easier than ever thanks to the enhanced Boston University Shuttle (the BUS) service. The BUS makes it a snap for the BU community to access the many resources, programs, and activities available throughout the University—and it’s free.
