CORI/SORI and Temporary Employees

Prior to hire, some categories of Temporary Employees are subject to CORI/SORI (Criminal Offender Record Information /Sexual Offender Registry Information) background checks required by state regulation, these include:

  • Senior Security Assistants in Residential Safety
  • Any employee who has an assignment (of any duration) at the National Emerging Infectious Disease Laboratories (NEIDL) on the Boston University Medical Campus
  • Children’s Summer Camp and Climbing Wall employees in the Department of Physical Education, Recreation and Dance
  • Any employee working with minors (children under the age of 18)
