Boston University pays the entire cost of many of the benefit plans described on this site. In some cases you and the University share the cost. In others, you pay the entire cost. Contributions to the benefit plans go to the following providers, who hold plan assets and are responsible for precessing claims for benefits

Flexible Spending Accounts Contributions to the Dependent Care Account and Health Care Account are credited to your accounts by the University. Your contributions to these accounts are made with pre-tax dollars. The University is responsible for paying Flexible Spending Account benefits.
Programs Paid from General Assets Supplemental Death Plan Benefit, Severance Pay Plan, and Tuition Remission Program benefits are paid out of the general assets of Boston University.
