Vacation
If you are a regular, full-time employee or a regular, part-time employee scheduled to work at least 50% of the regularly scheduled workweek, you are eligible to accrue and use Vacation Leave. You accrue vacation days for each full calendar month of work. See the chart below for details.

Sick Leave
Sick Leave allows you to take an authorized paid absence from work for medical care, personal illness or injury, or the care of an ill immediate family member.
All regular, full-time employees and regular, part-time employees scheduled to work at least 50% of the regularly scheduled workweek are eligible upon hire to accrue and use Sick Leave. See the chart below for details:

Eligible employees hired on or before the 15th of the month will be credited with a full month of service on the first day of the following month. Employees hired on or after the 16th of the month are not credited with a full month of service for that month.
Employees maintain their accrued Sick Leave when they transfer from one position within the University to another.
Additional Sick Leave Awards
You may be eligible to save your current Sick Leave for next year. See the chart below for the amount of Sick Leave that can be credited to your accrual on January 1 of the following calendar year.
