Participation
You are eligible to participate in the Flexible Benefits Program if you are a regular employee of Boston University and your annual base salary is $10,000 or more.
If you elect coverage under any of the health, dental, and survivor insurance plans, your participation in this component of the Flexible Benefits Program is automatic. This means that your premium payments will be deducted from your paycheck using before-tax dollars.
Participation in the Dependent and Health Care Reimbursement Accounts is voluntary. You can choose to enroll in one or both. After you enroll, a dependent care reimbursement account and/or a health care reimbursement account will be established in your name and your contributions will be taken from your salary, using before-tax dollars.
