There are certain conditions under which your former spouse may continue to be covered under your family membership in the Boston University Health Plan.

HMOs are not subject to the disclosure provisions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).

Should you or your dependents participate in another health plan, Boston University coordinates its health plan benefits with those other plans. Boston University also has provisions that cover health benefit costs should another party be legally responsible for an illness or injury affecting your health care.
