Boston Medical Center Preferred
The Boston Medical Center Preferred Plan is an exclusive provider organization (EPO) that combines the advantages of a health maintenance organization (HMO) with the availability of a larger network of physicians and facilities outside the HMO network, but at a higher cost.
When you join Boston Medical Center Preferred, you choose a primary care physician (PCP) from within the plan’s Inner Circle network to direct your medical care.
There are two levels of coverage. The amount of coverage depends on where you receive treatment.
When you participate in Boston Medical Center Preferred, you need to follow a benefit approval process. You need to follow some procedures when dealing with emergency care, when submitting a claim, and when registering a grievance about the quality of medical care or payment of a claim.
Visit the Boston Medical Center Preferred website for more information.
