Participation
If you are classified by the University as a regular employee, work 75% or more of a full-time schedule and have an appointment of at least nine months’ duration, you and your eligible family members may participate in the Boston University Dental Health Plan starting on the first day of the month coincident with or following your first day of work.
Your eligible family members include:
- Your current spouse
- Your unmarried, dependent children under age 19
- Your unmarried, dependent children between ages 19 and 25 who are enrolled as full-time students at accredited educational institutions
- Your unmarried, dependent children age 19 and older who are mentally or physically handicapped
Coverage Levels
There are four levels of coverage available under the Dental Health Plan:
- Individual membership (yourself only)
- Individual plus spouse (you and your spouse)
- Individual plus child(ren) (you and one or more children)
- Family membership (you and your eligible family members)
