ESPlanner Financial Planning Software
Free Download for Boston University Employees
Traditional financial planning asks you to do all the hard work. It makes you set your own saving and life insurance targets. This puts you at risk. Set your targets too low and you’ll under save and under insure. Set them too high and you’ll over save and over insure.
Economic Security Planner (ESPlanner™), developed by Boston University Professor Laurence Kotlikoff and other leading economists, finds the right targets. It calculates your family’s highest sustainable living standard and the amounts you need to save and insure to maintain that living standard through time.
If you are a Boston University employee, you may download ESPlanner for free by submitting your name and University ID number below. In order to download this software, you will need an Academic Computing Services (ACS) login account and Kerberos password. If you do not have an ACS account and wish to learn more about setting one up and obtaining a Kerberos password, please visit the Information Technology website.
ESPlanner V2 uses Microsoft Excel to display reports. You must have Excel installed prior to installation of ESPlanner. ESPlanner will run using Excel in any of the following products: Microsoft Office 2000, XP, and 2003. ESPlanner does not support Office 97, Microsoft Works, or Star Office.
