2018 BU Retirement Savings Program
BU is pleased to offer the new Retirement Savings Program, effective January 1, 2018. This program is designed to encourage personal saving, distribute BU’s contribution more equitably across all age groups and salary levels, and ensure the program passes IRS nondiscrimination tests.
Your retirement benefits include a set of plans collectively called the BU Retirement Savings Program:
The BU Retirement Plan, for University contributions only
The Supplemental Retirement & Savings Plan, for your contributions only
The 457(b) Savings Plan, for additional tax-deferred contributions for highly paid faculty and staff
