Summer Internship Housing
BU Housing offers convenient and affordable housing for non-BU students participating in internships during the summer months. To participate, you must be a current college student who is at least 18 years of age and has a summer internship or supervised research program relevant to your course of study. We hope to make your stay enjoyable, and your Boston experience positively unforgettable.
Currently available apartments are located on South Campus. The accommodations provided on South Campus are multiple-occupancy bedrooms in apartment-style residences. These multiple-occupancy apartments vary in size and design, and are furnished with a dresser, a desk, a bed frame, a mattress (80 inch extra-long twin size), and a chair for each resident. You will have a roommate sharing your bedroom, who will also be a Summer Internship participant. Our remaining inventory in South Campus are not air conditioned, and is extremely limited.
Residences in South Campus include a refrigerator, a stove, a kitchen table and some comfortable seating. Linens, cooking utensils, dishes, silverware and cleaning supplies are not provided. Students are prohibited from bringing their own air conditioners into any residence. Assignments to these apartments will be made in date-received order as available space allows.
Residence rates are available on our summer internship rates page. Single bedroom and air conditioned options are no longer available.
Two optional dining plans are available for summer interns. The first offers 5 meals per week and the other offers 10 meals. With the flexibility to use these meals throughout the week or on the weekend, they offer great value for summer interns who do not have the need for a full dining plan, but want the option of healthy, full meals several times per week.
Plan on having a car on campus this summer? Visit the Boston University Parking & Transportation Services site here for options and availability.
