EXTENDED HOUSING
Boston University houses over 11,000 students. In the past decade, student demand has steadily increased because of the quality and benefit of living in University housing. To accommodate growing demand and to provide for fluctuations that exceed our capacity, Boston University has leased property and assigned students to housing that is close to, but not on, the University's main campus. These units are generally located in nearby hotels.
For the Fall 2008 semester, the University has secured rooms in the Hyatt Regency Cambridge. Each room is double-occupancy and includes a private bathroom, air conditioning, housekeeping service twice each week, cable TV, University Ethernet access and standard dormitory furniture. University staff, including resident assistants, will be living in the Hyatt Regency Cambridge to provide supervision and support. Students are provided with transportation to and from the Boston University campus. The residence and dining plan rates charged are for the double-occupancy room (standard minimum) and for the dining plan selected.
These rooms are used for the fall semester only. Students are reassigned to new on-campus accommodations for the spring semester. The University assists students in moving personal belongings into the new assignments in January.
