With over 26 years of luxury hotel experience, Bill Taylor has enjoyed a lifelong passion for the hospitality industry. Currently, Taylor serves as General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Boston, the city’s only AAA Five-Diamond and Mobil Five-Star Hotel. Taylor manages all facets of the 273-room property, which boasts the famous dining establishment The Bristol Lounge. Taylor also presides over the 92-unit full service luxury condominium development Four Seasons Place. Under Taylor’s leadership, every employee has the opportunity to shine, and the hotel’s superlative reputation carries on.

Taylor has a personal commitment to cultivating the special ties Four Seasons Hotel Boston has with the community. As a result, the hotel supports numerous charitable causes and was recently named the Greater Boston Food Bank’s “Partner of the Year.” Taylor serves on several prominent boards as well, including Boston University School of Hospitality Management, Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Leadership Council, and Back Bay Association.

Previously, Taylor served as General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Chicago (A Four Seasons Hotel). During his time there, the hotel was honored with the 2006 Mobil Travel Guide Five-Star Award and the equally prestigious 2006 AAA Five-Diamond Award.

Taylor began his career with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in 1992 and honed his skills at The Ritz- Carlton Chicago, where he served as Guest Services Manager, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Front Office Manager, Front Office Manager and, finally, Assistant Director of Rooms. Taylor quickly established a reputation for intuitive, personalized service and a hands-on approach to management. He was promoted to Director of Rooms at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta in 1998, and to Hotel Manager in 2000. In 2001, Taylor returned to Chicago as Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, where he guided the hotel to superlative levels of service excellence.

Preceding his career with Four Seasons, Taylor held management positions at Hanbury Manor in England, Caneel Bay in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Boca Raton Hotel + Club in Florida.

A native of Newcastle, England, Taylor is a graduate of the University of Surrey in London and holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Business Administration. Taylor lives with his wife and three children in Weston, Massachusetts.
