President, Sage Hotel Corporation
Robert Sage is president of Sage Hotel Corporation. He is the founder of the five original Fenway Motor Hotels and the Back Bay Hilton and responsible for the construction, planning, purchasing, management, and operations of these hotels.
Well known and respected, Mr. Sage is the recipient of several industry awards. His professional memberships and offices held include: president, New England, Hotel Sales Management Association (1965); president, Massachusetts Hotel-Motel Assoc. (1968–1970; 1982–1984); president, Greater Boston Hotel-Motor Inn Association (1970–1972); president, New England Innkeepers Association (1977–1978); director, Massachusetts Restaurant Association (1971–1977); national director, American Hotel & Motel Association (1975–1977); and chairman, Telecommunications Committee—American Hotel & Motel Association (1976–1979).
In 1974, Mr. Sage founded the Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau and is currently the director.
