COO, Chief Operating Officer, Sports, Leisure, Corrections and Business Dining, Aramark
In this role, he is accountable for the strategic direction and operational excellence for over 75,000 employees across North America who provide hospitality, retail merchandise and facility service programs at 150 premier sports and entertainment venues, convention and conference centers, national and state parks, and cultural attractions; offer a wide range of food, facility and other support solutions to more than 500 correctional facilities; and manage dining services and catering for over 1,200 corporate cafés.
Prior to being named COO in 2014, Bruno served as President of Aramark’s Sports and Entertainment division. Bruno began his career with Aramark as a campus hire in 1993 and served in a variety of sales and operating positions in the U.S. and internationally, before assuming senior leadership roles within the company.
Bruno also leads Aramark’s Olympic and Global Event projects, for which the company has served as the dining and catering services provider for 17 Olympic Games. His involvement with the Olympic Games spans seven Olympics, dating back to the 1996 Atlanta Games. Additionally, he oversaw Aramark’s management of the food and beverage services for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
In 2010, SportsBusiness Journal named him to its annual global list of “Forty Under 40,” recognizing the best and brightest young executives in the sports business industry.
He serves on the board of directors of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau and Boston University School of Hospitality.
Bruno is a graduate of the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
