American Visual Culture in Context: A Symposium in Honor of Professor Patricia Hills

This symposium will present scholarly papers on American visual culture by distinguished former students of Dr. Patricia Hills, Professor of American Art at Boston University for over thirty-five years. It will provide a snapshot of the impact that Boston University's Department of History of Art & Architecture has had upon American art historical scholarship while simultaneously limning the future of the field. Supported by the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, Alumni & Current Students, Boston University Center for the Humanities, Department of History of Art & Architecture, American & New England Studies Program, and African American Studies Program.
