Understanding Current Drugs for Diabetes

There are currently over 11 classes of drugs for diabetes with more coming. How, when and with what intensity they should be used has been an area of controversy. Recently, several national organizations have put forth treatment guidelines incorporating these drugs. This talk will review diabetes drugs in use in the U.S., explain how they control blood sugar and how they are commonly used, alone or in combination with other drugs.
