It is not too late to get a flu shot! Influenza (flu) activity continues to increase in Massachusetts, as well as across the country, according to both the CDC and Mass DPH. Student Health Services (SHS) has scheduled flu shot clinics for students at GSU Alley and FitRec this week. Cost: If you have Boston University’s AETNA Student Health Insurance the shot is FREE/COVERED. If you have your own private insurance, $30 will be charged to your student account and SHS will present you with a receipt. You can use this receipt to seek reimbursement from your insurance carrier. SHS cannot guarantee you will be reimbursed, however most insurance companies do cover flu shots. Students only please. There are no appointments. Simply show up with your Student ID. Lines move fast at our flu clinics. - Thursday, January 17, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., George Sherman Union Alley (in the basement adjacent to BU Central), 775 Commonwealth Ave. - Friday, January 18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., FitRec Dance Studio lobby, 915 Commonwealth Ave. (enter via Buick Street).
