International Programs

Studying abroad is an enriching way to enhance your college experience while learning about another culture and travelling the world. Our degree program requires an international experience. One of the most popular ways to fulfill this is to study abroad through the Boston University International Programs Department.

Bon Voyage: International Programs for Hospitality Students

The hospitality industry is a global one. The successful manager or owner will be likely to speak more than one language and will almost certainly have exposure to a variety of cultures, whether working in the U.S. or abroad. On campus you will live, study, and work with students from more than 135 countries. But exposure to such diversity need not only occur at home. Boston University is renowned for international programs and sponsors them in countries on six continents. Many programs feature an internship component. Students studying abroad through internship programs are placed in a variety of overseas hospitality industry businesses.

Hospitality internships are available in London, England; Paris, France; Madrid, Spain; Sydney, Australia; Auckland, New Zealand; Dublin, Ireland; Haifa, Israel; Los Angeles, CA USA; and Washington, D.C., USA.

Hospitality students are not limited to just the internship locations—all programs from Quito, Ecuador to Shanghai, China are options for students.
