Stuart Meyerson

General Manager
The Liberty Hotel

Stuart MeyersonStuart Meyerson was recently named General Manager of The Liberty Hotel, a luxury hotel scheduled to open during the summer, 2007. Mr. Meyerson has served in a variety of senior management positions with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, including General Manager in five hotels since 1988. Prior to his most recent appointment, he was responsible for the Hyatt Regency Newport, a hotel and spa located in Newport, RI. During his tenure in Newport, the hotel achieved record sales and profits.

Mr. Meyerson has been nominated for the Hyatt Hotels Donald N. Pritzker "General Manager of the Year" (1998), and his involvement in the Cambridge community resulted in the Cambridge Chamber of commerce Business Person of the Year nominee (2002), Corporate Citizen of the year (2003), and MIT University's Cambridge First Day recognition for contributions to the community (2004).

As an active member of the Cambridge Community, Mr. Meyerson was a member of: the Cambridge Hotel Association (President for three years); Board of Directors, Cambridge Office of Tourism (President for three years); Board of Directors, Cambridge Partnership for Public Education; Board of Advisors and Adjunct Professor, Boston University School of Hospitality Administration; Board of Directors, Cambridge Chamber of Commerce; Hyatt Hotels national Diversity Council 2003- present; and the Newport Country Regional Pandemic Health Care Planning Task Force. Mr. Meyerson also helped to initiate a Hospitality Lodging Program at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School (1999-2000).
