Thomas Engel

T.R. Engel Group, LLC
Thomas Engel is founder and president of Boston-based T.R. Engel Group, LLC, a national lodging real estate advisory, research, and investment services company. Prior to creating the T.R. Engel Group and the TRE Market and Hotel Analysis, Mr. Engel joined Equitable Real Estate Investment Management, where he established its Lodging and Leisure Group. As executive vice president, he was responsible for the direction of acquisition, project management, and asset management of the Group's multi-billion-dollar portfolio. Mr. Engel was also instrumental in creating three lodging brands; Embassy Suites, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, and Hawthorn Suites.
