Robert E. Cumings

Robert E. Cumings Associates was established in 1990 as a marketing and management consulting firm specializing in the hospitality industry. Mr. Cumings is also a partner in Cumings/McNulty, a company that provides organizational consulting to convention and visitor bureaus. He is currently president and CEO of New England Brass and Tool, Inc. Mr. Cumings served as the first president of the Greater Boston Convention and Visitor's Bureau (GBCVB) from 1974 to 1990. In 1985 he served as president of the International Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus — where he remains active — an organization that represents four hundred cities throughout the world. Prior to GBCVB, he served as Director of Alumni Affairs for Boston University, and was associated with the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce in the Convention and Visitor's Bureau.
