Please join the History Department on Tuesday, October 29, for a public lecture by Franklin W. Knight entitled, “Why the United States is Losing Latin America, ” held in STO B50 (in the CAS building.) A reception with light refreshments will follow. Professor Knight, Professor of History at Johns Hopkins University, has written on social, political and cultural aspects of Latin America and the Caribbean especially after the eighteenth century. His publications include: Slave Society in Cuba during the Nineteenth Century and The African Dimension of Latin American Societies.
