Prof. Payaslian Presents Two Papers at SAS and ASEEES Conferences

Professor Simon Payaslian presented a paper entitled “Contending Diasporan Conceptualizations of Homeland Independence according to the American Armenian Press (1900-1921),” at the annual conference of the Society for Armenian Studies, UCLA, Oct. 12–13, 2019.

Payaslian also presented a paper entitled “The Pursuit of International Recognition and the Geopolitics of Justice: The Case of the Republic of Armenia at the Paris Peace Conference,” [Roundtable: Great Powers and Small Nations: Caucasian Claims for Statehood at the Paris Peace Conference, 1919-1920], and served as discussant for the panel on “The Politics of Protest in Armenia and Russia,” at the annual convention of the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES), Nov. 23–26, 2019.
