is going to NEW ORLEANS!
Since Hurricane Katrina, the greatest natural and man-made disaster to affect North America, New Orleans and the remainder of the Gulf Coast continue to undergo massive rehabilitation. Trips to the region engage in both housing reconstruction and urban garden development, while participants learn about the factors that led to high poverty rates and poor healthcare.
When: March 11-March 18 (SPRING BREAK)
Trip Cost: $100 fundraising commitment and cost of travel
(The program is highly subsidized by Boston University Hillel and includes housing, Kosher meals, local transportation, service projects, educational program and materials, and all on-site activities.)
