The exhibition formally opened with the visit of Bulgaria's president, Rosen Plevneliev, who introduced the exhibition.  Other speakers included Boston University's president Robert A. Brown, Hillel's Director Rabbi Joseph Polak, and the Honorary Consul General of Bulgaria to Boston Adam Portnoy.  Following the moving talks, over 200 guests enjoyed a performance by Boston's own Bulgarian Folk Dancing Troupe, Ludo Mlado, along with refreshements and conversation with colleagues and other visiting dignitaries.
