Student Committee for the Arts

The Student Commitee for the Arts (SCA) at the Rubin-Frankel Gallery is a collaborative formed by fine arts, art history, and arts administration students. The mission of this committee is to provide students with the opportunity to connect with their peers in the creation and execution of arts exhibitions, from start to finish and every step in between, within the upcoming Student Gallery Initiative. Additionally, members of the SCA assist within the main gallery in everything from graphic design and grant writing to events management and installation.
Advised by the director of the Rubin-Frankel Gallery, Holland Dieringer, this group is always open to consider new members interested in learning about and working within a non-profit gallery and DIY exhibition space.
The SCA also has their own blog that they use to post pictures of events and updates of their activities within the gallery.

The Student Gallery Initiative
The Rubin-Frankel Gallery is starting a new program: transforming the 4th floor gallery space into a student-run gallery, student-only exhibition space —allowing students from the Boston Metro area the opportunity to showcase their art in a setting outside of their respective schools. This project is set to launch in early 2012, so stay tuned!
If you are interested in being a part of this project, please contact The Rubin-Frankel gallery at rubinfrankelgallery@gmail.com or call Holland Dieringer 617-353-7634 with any questions.
