Wanted: Mezuzot!

As you likely know, a mezuzah is affized to every doorway in a home or building in order to fulfill the mitzvah (commandment) detailed in Deuteronomy 6:9 to inscribe the words of the Shema, our declaration in the belief in one God "on the doorposts of your house." The parchment is prepared by a qualified scribe (sofer) before being placed inside the case.

Here at Boston University Hillel, our goal is to have every doorpost in this house (the student's home away from home) affixed with a mezuzah - a physical reminder of our spiritual connection to our People - One People - and a continuation of our teaching this lesson from one generation to the next.

To do this we need your help.

To donate a mezuzah, we have established affordable naming opportunities for you to help fulfill this mitzvah with a plaque acknowledging your gift.
