Nominate a Junior Faculty Fellow
The Hariri Institute for Computing Junior Faculty Fellows program aims to recognize outstanding early-career computational researchers at Boston University, and to connect them with one another and with the Institute community at large. It does so by bringing together a cohort of tenure-track faculty members pursuing computing, computational, or data-driven research to partake in intellectual exchanges and integrative activities for the purpose of engaging meaningfully across disciplines, building up connections, and probing the possibilities of interdisciplinary collaborations.
The Junior Fellow recognition comes with a $3K award and a plaque to be presented at the conclusion of the Junior Fellow’s presentation at the Institute’s Wednesdays @Hariri “Meet the Fellows” Series.
Eligibility: Candidates are tenure-track faculty members pursuing computing, computational, or data-driven research who have held a full-time appointment in any one of BU’s departments for less than three years.
Nomination Process: Annually, a handful of Junior Fellows are selected for this honor, based on nominations submitted by members of the BU community and evaluated by the Institute’s Executive Steering Committee. The deadline for nominations is April 6, 2015.
