Before accepting the Humphrey Fellowship, Ms. Jewan Naqi was a relationship manager in the in Global Consumer Banking at Citi Bank, Bahrain. Her responsibilities there included Developing client relationships and encouraging new accounts and investments. Prior to that she was an Officer in the Head Office of Arab Banking Corporation (ABC), a leading international bank, where she participated in the Core Banking Migration Team, including deployment in London and New York branches. Ms. Naqi's particular focus is with international banking organizations, specifically working on transactions presenting significant cross-border and cross-culturaz

She holds a master's degree in Business Administration from DePaul University, and a Treasury and Capital Markets Diploma from the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Bahrain.

During her Humphrey year, Ms. Jewan Naqi will be expanding her knowledge of money management and treasury functions, particularly those with international implications. She is particularly interested in Islamic investments and financing, and expanding Islamic markets in the US.
