Ms. Nurgul Muhamedjanova is the senior English Language instructor at Issyk-Kul State University. She also teaches “The History of English Literature” and “The Theory and Practice of Translation”. From 2002-2004 Ms. Muhamedjanova was the Head of the English Language Division. She was also Head of the Methodological Seminar in that division. After graduating from Kyrgyz State University she worked as an English teacher at a secondary school for seven years before joining the Issyk-Kul State University in the faculty of World Languages in 1998. She is a member of the National Kyrgyz Association of English Teachers.
Ms. Muhamedjanova has also worked as an interpreter during Parliamentary and Presidential Elections with the international observers from OSCE (Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe) in 1995 and 2005, as well as for Lingva, an NGO teaching English to schoolchildren.
Ms. Nurgul Muhamedjanova has a master’s degree in English Language and Literature from Kyrgyz State University.
During her Humphrey year, Ms. Nurgul Muhamedjanova will be expanding her knowledge of effective ways of teaching English as Foreign Language, learn the experience of her US colleagues, compare the curriculum of the faculty of foreign languages of both countries and finally use them in the home University. |
