Since 1997, Ms. Claudia Marchetti has been a legal advisor to the Ombudsman Office in the Argintinean province of Tucumán. She is responsible for all aspects of drafting, editing, interpreting, reviewing and processing requests for legal modifications and amendments in the privatization process and public service development of Argentina. She is particularly concerned with privatization, utility law, and consumer's affairs. Before joining the Ombudsman Office, Ms. Marchetti provided legal advice to the Ministry of Productivity and the Citizen and Residents Identity Office.
Ms. Marchetti holds a degree from the University of Tucumán School of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude . She was also awarded a diploma of mediator by the Ministry of Justice in Argentina. The International Bar Association (IBA) awarded her twice for her scholarship.
During her Humphrey year, Ms. Marchetti will be earning an LLM in American Law. By learning about the American legal system, she hopes to strengthen the framework for future collaboration between Argentinean and American businesses. |
