Achmad Fauzi

Mr. Achmad Fauzi joined the Ministry of Finance in Indonesia in 2002. He served as a government officer for the Directorate General of Budget and the Directorate General of Treasury from 2002 to 2006. For the last two years he has been the manager of government securities accounting at the Directorate General of Debt Management (commonly known as the Indonesian Debt Management Office). This position entails the management of all phases of government securities transactions.

Mr. Fauzi is responsible for preparing government securities financial reports, which ensure government accountability and transparency to the House of Representatives and the public. In 2008-2009, for the first time in its history, his department received recognition from the Supreme Auditor Board for outstanding performance.

Mr. Fauzi received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Sumatera Utara in 1997 and his master’s degree in accounting in 2001 from Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia.

During his Humphrey year, Mr. Fauzi will gain experience related to debt management in the U.S. He also plans to further expand his knowledge of securities and investment practices.
