Mr. Yahya Al-Nahdi has worked in the State Audit Institution (SAI) in the Sultanate of Oman since 1993. He has held his current position current position of Director of the Deputy Chairman’s Office since 2006. Before joining the Deputy Chairman’s Office, Mr. Al-Nahdi served as an Auditor in the Department of Security Unit Audit from 2004 to 2005.

Throughout his service in SAI, Mr. Al-Nahdi has contributed to many international conferences and meetings, especially the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), including the INTOSAI Privatization Auditing Committee Meeting held in London in 2005, the INTOSAI International Conference in Mexico in 2007, and the INTOSAI Internal Control Committee Meeting in Belgium in April of 2008.

Mr. Al-Nahdi received a bachelor's degree in business administration in 2002 and an MBA in 2007. 

During his Humphrey year, Mr. Al-Nahdi plans to broaden his auditing experience by learning how auditing in the United States is performed. He would also like to build upon his knowledge of human resource management and leadership, and enhance his teaching skills, as he plans to teach management in a private college in Oman when he returns home.
